Marine aquarium fish are very bright, but need special care. The biggest problem connected with the marine fish aquariums for beginners is the price. Such species are very expensive and need special care. But don’t be upset. There are such representatives of water fauna, which are good to start with. The price for them is acceptable and they pollute water less. And big flesh-eating kinds can be the carrier of parasites and infections, tough they look healthy because of their strong immune resistance.
Choosing the inhabitants for the fishbowl it is important to remember one rule: it is not preferred to keep such kinds of water fauna which are completely different in their feeding, growing and general way of life. Don’t forget about the marine aquarium fish food. Invertebrata and corals need additional feeding.
There is one more question that needs attention. How many inhabitants can live in one fishbowl? It depends on the several factors:
- Territoriality. Some types of water fauna needs much territory and don’t allow others to enter it;
- Equipment. The biofilters should do their work well and supply the fishbowl with the necessary amount of oxygen;
- Live pants. They provide the water fauna with oxygen and can also be the food for them;
- Peculiarities of reproduction. When shedding the eggs some kinds of fish try to protect this territory and don’t allow others to come.
So, in most cases the water fauna shouldn’t be more that 1/3 of the general space of a fishbowl. If it is difficult for you to make the decision connected with the quantity of inhabitants in your fishbowl, here is the approximate scheme for the 200 liters aquarium: 2 Pagurus bernhardus, 1-2 Chrysiptera parasemas, 1-2 Pseudochromis fridmanis, 1 Zebrasoma flavescens, 1 Synchiropus splendidus and 1 Forcipiger flavissimus. Tropical marine aquarium fish are very nice and unordinary, but the price for them is high.
